Another wait on the tarmac

It looks like we may be on Miami for a few more hours. There is a bag on board for a passenger who is not here. So we have to wait while they find the bag and take it off.

Such is life!

When dealing with Haiti one must have a good sense of humor and great patience.

We are missing church, which is a bummer. The songs you hear in the first Consider Haiti video are hymns from this service. I was hoping to get more.

Hey, we are off 20 Mins later!

Thunderstorm on the tarmac

Well, I spoke too soon about the weather. It’s raining hard with lightning so we are waiting to take off from Miami. We are an hour late.

The hope is that we will get to Montrouis before dark.

Time to take a nap.

If there is no update tonight, there is no Internet at the hotel.

We are in Miami

We have landed safely. The weather out of Charlotte was perfect. It’s great to be with old friends and I look forward to knowing the new.

It’s a comfort to know that we are all in this together. We have a clear goal: Help kids in Haiti have a better chance to live.

PaP here we come.

New Image Uploader Installed Here

See pictures from our latest Mission Manna trip!

If you go to the PICS tab on this site (above) you will see a new image player. Mission trip participants are able to upload images via email to this player. If we DO have an Internet connection in Haiti, you will be able to see our postings. If we DO NOT have a connection, well…you will just have to imagine what it must be like.

Chances are, it’s a whole lot like this! (Pics from this Spring’s trip.)

ConsiderHaiti.com Begins

The website is up!

The site design is still in progress, but we are ready to roll, nevertheless. I’m off to Haiti in 4 days, and am getting the blog ready for posting. Hopefully, our team will have Internet service where we are staying. If we don’t have access and are not able to post… well, that’s Haiti. Don’t expect to get everything you want… just hope for the best.
